Wake before dawn and ascend 10,023ft (3,055m) to the top of Haleakala, Maui’s sleeping volcano. The drive up offers pre-dawn beauty of Haleakala National Park as you enjoy complimentary coffee and pastries. From the summit, listen to the history of Haleakala and the Hawaiian myths and culture surrounding the volcano. As the sun pokes over the horizon take in the panoramic views and raw natural beauty of the volcanic island. Once the sun has made the jump over the horizon, wander to the Pu’u Ula’ula Overlook and explore the Visitor Center before heading back down the mountain.
