Piiholo Zipline

Details

Piiholo Ranch is a seven-generation local family cattle ranch offering ziplining and horseback riding. Situated above the cowboy town of Makawao, the ranch offers grand coastal and canyon views, towering eucalyptus forests, native koa and ohia trees, and many indigenous plants. Before embarking on a five-line or four-line zipline tour, you'll walk over a 317-foot (97-m) long suspended bridge high above the trees. The first zipline is 480 feet (146 m) long from a free-standing tower to a grassy meadow below. The second zipline is 1,065 feet (325 m) in length and crosses over a lush and tropical valley of guava, kukui nut trees, and many varieties of ferns. Zipline three is 690 feet (210 m) long and crosses back over the valley to the treehouse area with a stunning view of Maui's North Shore. Guests booked on the four-line tour head over to the Tango Tower to zipline the final 725 feet (221 m) of their tour, finishing near the check in area. Guests on the five-line tour move to the second landing of the Tango Tower walkway where they zip 1,420 feet (433 m) to the base of Piiholo Hill. A ranch vehicle then transports guests to the top of the hill for the 2,800-foot (853-m) Grand Finale from one of the most beautiful places in Maui's upcountry. Alternatively, if relaxing and taking in the sights is more your style, the treehouse is sure to please. Built among the trees with three overhanging decks, it's a great place for photos, kicking back, and watching the zipline action. Tours to observe only are available.

All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity. All zipline riders must be at least 8 years old, weigh between 75 pounds (34 kg) and 275 pounds (125 kg), and be in good physical condition. This tour is not for pregnant women, people with back problems or any serious medical condition. Closed toed shoes are required.
