Pearl Harbor, Arizona Memorial, and Punchbowl Tour
Never forget. Visitors young and old—history buffs or not—will be moved by this interactive visual tour and remembrance of the military attack on Pearl Harbor of December 7, 1941, which marked America's entry into World War II and changed the course of global destiny.
Everyone learns about Pearl Harbor in school, but few get a chance to feel the emotions of the devastating human cost on that "day that will live in infamy." This tour of Pearl Harbor, with visits to the USS Arizona Memorial and the Punchbowl National Cemetery, connects you to the momentous event on a powerful, deeply personal level. The Arizona Memorial Visitor Center features a guided audio tour, interactive exhibits, photos, and films describing the events leading up to and during the attack—as well as activity books and a Junior Ranger scavenger hunt for kids. Pearl Harbor survivors are present at the center most days to share their remembrances with visitors, making the stories of December 7 all the more real with their first-hand accounts. A visit by Navy shuttle boat to the site of the sunken USS Arizona is sure to put a lump in your throat. Afterward, pay your respects to the fallen heroes of Pearl Harbor with a driving tour through Punchbowl National Cemetery.
