Step out onto the sizzling tarmac to the whoosh of propellers preparing to whisk you into the skies above paradise. Soar over cascading waterfalls of the Wailuku River and pass the slopes of the world’s largest volcano, Mauna Loa. Approach Hawaii’s only active volcano, Kilauea, as you watch lava seep from the cone of its rumbling mass. Get close to this ominous, simmering beast that has been continuously erupting since 1983.

Departure time and location
Multiple departures daily. Actual flight times vary seasonally; all flights depart from the Hilo Airport. Check-in is 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
Participant restrictions
All seat assignments will be determined by weight and balance. Due to guest comfort and the weight and balance constraints of the aircraft, anyone weighing 240 pounds (109 kg) or more will be required to pay for an additional full seat upon flight confirmation. Federal aviation regulations require each passenger to be weighed before boarding a helicopter flight.
Note
Children younger than 24 months may fly at no charge if sitting on a guardian's lap. This activity operates weather permitting. Departures are from the Hilo International Airport, located approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from Kona.
