Discover one of the most scenically diverse trails in Maui on this guided horseback tour. Mendes Ranch Traditional Hawaiian cowboys—paniolos—greet you at the Mendes Ranch Corral. Once at the stables (where peacocks, chickens, roosters, and pigs roam freely), ranchers match rider to quarter horse depending on riding ability. Once everyone is comfortable turning and stopping their horses, you’re off.Scenic trail ride Canter up rolling pastures, through rain forest, then peek down at Eki Crater in the Hana Rainforest and at some of Maui's largest waterfalls. The narrated tour continues down the mountain toward Hawaiian plantation homes. Continue along the Waihe'e Valley until you reach the cliffs above the crystal-blue Pacific Ocean. Be sure to take time for a photo of you on your steed against this magnificent Maui backdrop. Two ranchers expertly guide the group and horses along the trail. Ready to break from the pack? You can canter, trot or run your horse in select open areas.

Participant restrictions
There is a weight limit of 250 pounds (113 kg) per person. Participants must be 7 years or older. No pregnant women will be allowed on this tour.

Helmets are suggested, but you can sign a special waiver if you prefer to ride without. **Lunch is served after the morning tour or before the afternoon tour, depending on your tour time booked.All customers/participants are required to sign liability waivers before participating in this activity.
