This 17-mile (27-km) kayak trip traverses the spectacular Northwest coast of Kauai, the "Garden Island." Ready your camera for what National Geographic magazine calls one of the top experiences in the nation.
Details
Shuttle out to Haena Beach Park/Maninilolo, and paddle offshore to greet the Hawaiian green sea turtles (kai honu). Keep your eyes peeled for endangered Hawaiian monk seals, spinner dolphins, and mountain goats scaling the cliffs of the nearby shore. Along the way, your seasoned guides will share their vast knowledge of flora, fauna, sea life, and Hawaiian history.
A relaxing stop at Milolii Beach offers scenic views as you break for lunch. Enjoy this beautiful, secluded beach—comb the shore, swim, rest in the shade of a koa tree, or hike to a nearby waterfall. Afterward, reapply the sunscreen because it’s time to launch off for the final leg of the journey to Polihale Beach State Park, boasting the largest beach in the state.
