Prepare for a 90-minute session on Hawaii’s most forgiving waves in Hanalei or Wailua. Regardless of your skill level, you’re guaranteed to ride a wave before your lesson’s up—especially with one of the last remaining big-wave riders of Hawaiian descent as your instructor. So slide into your Quicksilver rash guard t-shirt, hop on your beginner surfboard, and put your trust in this local surf legend who’s been hitting the waves around the world for more than 40 years.
