Journey back to World War II-era Hawaii and experience the pivotal sites that changed the face of America.
Details
Tour the historic Hawaiian sites that bookended World War II, including Pearl Harbor, where the US involvement in the war began. Pause for reflection at the Arizona Memorial, the battleship where more than 1,000 sailors lost their lives during the attack on December 7, 1941. Then, see where the fighting stopped, at the USS Missouri, where the Japanese officially surrendered, thus ending the long, drawn-out war. The tour continues through downtown Honolulu, visiting historic attractions like Kawaiahao Church, Iolani Palace (the only royal palace on American soil), the statue of King Kamehameha, Honolulu Hale, and the Mission Houses Museum. The last stop is Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific and the Courts of the Missing.
