Take off with your wheels spinning on this extensive tour of the beautiful Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The 21-speed Diamondback Mountain bike offers a comfortable ride as you scope out the park’s crater rim and surrounding areas filled with “lava trees”, formed by fast moving lava that wraps itself around the plants.

Feel like taking a break? If at any point you get too winded, rack your bike and jump in the van with your guide. If curiosity gets the best of you, wander on foot through a buzzing rainforest and walk through a lava tube that once filtered flowing lava. Let the warmth surround you on a stroll to the heart of the volcano at Halema’uma’u Crater, where steam creeps up through a vent in the ground.

As you drink in the scenery around you, take a bite of juicy fresh fruit and munch on sweet macadamia nuts and other snacks to keep your energy going for the remainder of this 8-mile (12.9-km) bike ride.
