Whether you are a local or a first-time visitor, there is nothing better than an entertaining luau to acquaint you with the breathtaking place known as Hawaii. Walk onto the historic grounds of the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa where you’ll be greeted with a warm hello and presented with a beautiful lei.

After marveling at the grounds, join in on making handcrafted items, such as woven coconut fronds. Learn how to open a coconut—the easy way—and get a temporary Polynesian tattoo for kicks.

Adults may be tempted to wander over by the open bar where mai tais and other liquid beauties await. Children can get a little taste of Hawaii with a refreshing fruit punch. Dinner will be cooked in the ceremonial way popular on the island: in a theimu, a traditional underground oven.  While dining, enjoy the pompous frills of Fijian and Maori dances of war. Discover the graceful and proper way to hula, and become entranced with the heat of a show-stopping Samoan fire and knife dance.
