Evening Volcano Explorer - Big Island
Discover the Kilaueau Volcano of Big Island at night. After a deli-style picnic dinner, it's time to head as close to the heart of the volcano as possible. If conditions are right, there may even be fresh lava!
Details
This evening volcano tour takes you to the Puna district on the east side of the Big Island—home to some of the best lava viewing locations in Hawaii. Feast on a delicious picnic-style deli dinner complete with beverages before setting off for the heart of the volcano. At sunset, explore the volcano on foot. If conditions are right, you may even see lava flowing as the crimson glow of "liquid rock" slowly makes its way towards the sea. New land is being created and added to the Big Island right before your eyes, just as these islands have been created for millions of years.
